The sage is a person and a plant that grows deepest in the wild.

Should the Cherry Blossom Tree send leaves as detectives?

Bio

Dr. Danielle Sainte-Marie, DM, is a poetess and authoress that was born in Anaheim, California, in 1968, and is the daughter of famed poet (and rock star with The Doors) James (Jim) Douglas Morrison. She never knew her father, but certainly acquired his talent for poetry and desire for knowledge. Her mother met James in West Hollywood in 1967, as she was a friend with Pamela, sharing a deep interest in clothes and alternative, comfortable fashion. Danielle was disgusted at the rivalry over Jim's estate and would have nothing of it. She isn't a fan of money anyways, and eschews fame. She honors her father by continuing where he left off: by being a simple poetess and authoress. That's all she has to say about that. Like her for her, not for her dad.

Danielle has scanned the world for her education, which led her to Joseph Campbell, Mikkyo (esoteric Buddhism), Hinduism, Alan Watts, D.T. Suzuki, Carl Sagan, Masaaki Hatsumi, Stephen and Rumiko Hayes, Ninpo and Ninjutsu. She is also an authority on the Bible (but is not a Christian) and an apothecary. She has multiple degrees and received a PhD in Metaphysics. Her understanding and embracing of Oriental philosophies and theologies has placed her as an expert sought out by the entire world. She regularly lectures on the arts, metaphors, mythology and comparative religion ideas at many universities. Danielle has traveled extensively throughout Asia.

Danielle began writing 30 page short stories at the mere age of 7 years old; by 8 years of age she was writing abstract poetry, and at 12, she wrote her first 385 page novel. She has been published many times in periodicals around the world. Although prominent publishing companies have courted her since the age of 16, she decided to follow in the footsteps of her father and many other writers by being self-published. She finds great peace and freedom through this medium, where she can act as her own editor, cover artist (in some cases), and marketer. At times, she has given her books away with the only request being to donate to her Paypal fund if you like the book. You just cannot do that at a conventional publishing house. Her books run a wide gamut, much like her mind. From poetry to apocalyptic thriller fiction, love and romance, to action stories, there is something for everyone in her catalogue. However, you can be assured that reading any Sainte-Marie book is always a unique experience; you will not find anything like her writing done by anyone else at any point in history. That's not to denigrate anyone else--not at all! Rather, it is simply a statement of unique identity.

Currently, she makes her home in Cedar City, Utah, where she is inspired deeply by the gorgeous land and extremely friendly people. She will be writing full-time for the rest of her life, as it is her greatest passion. She dubs her loyal readers The Scholars of The Leaf, and invites you to investigate her books and come along for an incredible read of some of the most unique books ever written.
